French Watermelon - Dahlia Tuber

2025 Pre order - shipped from mid-September. Supplied as a dormant tuber.

French Water is a large cactus Dalia with beautiful watermelon to mauve coloured blooms. with it long strong stems, it makes a good cut flower.

Dahlias prefer a full sun to part shade location and should be planted out after the risk of frost has passed. With continuous dead heading Dahlias will bloom from summer up until late autumn early winter.

You don’t need to water your Dahlias in after planting, just keep them moist once they start to grow above the ground. Adding a slow-release tomato fertiliser in early summer and some Sulphate of Potash, then a mulch will help get the best of the blooms.
