2025 Pre order - shipped from mid-September. Supplied as a dormant tuber.
Black Macopa is a fimbriated Dahlia known for its strikingly delicate, fringed petals and dramatic colouring. The blooms are a rich, deep crimson, with finely split petal tips that give a lace-like texture and elegant softness. At the heart of each flower sits an almost-black centre, adding depth and contrast that draws the eye.
Mysterious and refined, Black Macopa is perfect for adding dark, moody beauty to garden beds or floral arrangements.
Dahlias prefer a full sun to part shade location and should be planted out after the risk of frost has passed. With continuous dead heading Dahlias will bloom from summer up until late autumn early winter.
You don’t need to water your Dahlias in after planting, just keep them moist once they start to grow above the ground. Adding a slow-release tomato fertiliser in early summer and some Sulphate of Potash, then a mulch will help get the best of the blooms.
Ships to anywhere in Australia excluding WA, NT and TAS. Ships from September.
