Melissa is a charming bright red cactus Dahlia known for its abundant, vibrant blooms that stand out beautifully against lush, healthy foliage. The bushy plant produces a profusion of flowers, some of which display a unique and captivating ombre effect on one side, adding an extra touch of interest and beauty. With its striking colour and lively growth habit, Melissa is a delightful addition to any garden or floral collection.

Dahlias prefer a full sun to part shade location and should be planted out after the risk of frost has passed. With continuous dead heading Dahlias will bloom from summer up until late autumn early winter.

You don’t need to water your Dahlias in after planting, just keep them moist once they start to grow above the ground. Adding a slow-release tomato fertiliser in early summer and some Sulphate of Potash, then a mulch will help get the best of the blooms.
